About the HIHL
WELCOME TO HAVEN'S INLINE HOCKEY LEAGUE (HIHL)
Get ready for an exciting summer of inline hockey, where players of all ages and skill levels come together for fun, competition, and skill development. The Haven’s Inline Hockey League (HIHL) runs from the week of April 14th through the beginning of August, offering a fantastic opportunity to play, improve, and enjoy the game of hockey.
- Adult Divisions start the week of April 14th.
- Youth Divisions start the week of May 5th.

The HIHL will be played out of the East Haven Veteran's Memorial Ice Rink.

Rink Surface
The HIHL operates on an IceCourt Surface. Indoor wheels are required for play.
Skate brake stoppers are not permitted on the surface.
League Overview
HIHL offers something for everyone, with divisions for all age groups:
- Adult Divisions (Pro, B and C Divisions)
- U18, U14, U12, U10, and U8 (Co-ed, non-hitting for all)
Each team is guaranteed 12 regular season games, and playoff spots are up for grabs. Teams will compete to qualify for the playoffs, ensuring the most competitive and exciting end to the season.
Each team will play one game per week. Adults and 18U will be Monday-Thursday and youth games will be Monday-Thursday and Saturday mornings.

18U - 2006 to 2009 (Midget, 16U & 15U)
14U - 2010 & 2011 (Bantam)
12U - 2012 & 2013 (PeeWee)
10U - 2014 & 2015 (Squirt)
8U - 2016 & younger (Mite)
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Enter a Full Team: If you have a team ready to go, sign up and choose your division.
Individual Players: If you don’t have a full team, no problem! Register individually, and the HIHL owners will place you on a team.
Unique Team Themes
To add a fun twist to the league, each team will choose a candy bar theme for their jerseys. These jerseys are provided by the league and are included in your registration fee. Those that enter a full team will be on a first come first serve basis for candy choice. Candy Jersey Themes: Kit-Kat, Reese's, Starburst, Sour Patch Kids, Crunch Bar, Snickers, Air Heads and Warhead Sours.
Player Development
HIHL isn’t just about competition—it’s about improving your skills while having fun. The league emphasizes player development, providing a supportive environment where players can grow their abilities throughout the summer. Whether you're new to the sport or an experienced player, you'll find opportunities to hone your skills and become a better hockey player.
Playoffs
The regular season will culminate in playoffs, where the best teams will battle it out for the championship! To qualify for the playoffs, teams must meet the necessary criteria based on their performance during the season. Details on playoff qualification will be shared closer to the start of the league.
