HAVEN'S INLINE HOCKEY LEAGUE (HIHL) summer 2026
Get ready for an action-packed summer of inline hockey! Players of all ages and skill levels will come together for fun, competition, and skill development. New this summer: a late-entry adult league for those who can't make the first start date. Don’t miss your chance to join!
LEAGUE DATES
Season Runs May 4th through July 30th, 2026
Adult leagues start: Week of May 4th
Adult leagues LATE entry start: June 2nd
Youth leagues start: week of June 1st (Open skates will be held in May as well)
Adult playoffs start: week of July 20th
Youth Season ends: Last week of July

The HIHL will be played out of the East Haven Veteran's Memorial Ice Rink.

Rink Surface
The HIHL operates on an IceCourt Surface. Indoor wheels are required for play.
Skate brake stoppers are not permitted on the surface.
League Overview
HIHL offers something for everyone, with divisions for all age groups:
- Adult Divisions (Pro, B and C Divisions)
- U18, U14, U12, U10, and U8 (Co-ed, non-hitting for all)
Each team will play one game per week. Depending on your division, games are played Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. It will be the same day each week for each division.

18U - 2011+ (Midget, 15U & 16U)
14U - 2012 & 2013 (Bantam)
12U - 2014 & 2015 (PeeWee)
10U - 2016 & 2017 (Squirt)
8U - 2018 & younger (Mite)
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Enter a Full Team: If you have an Adult Pro or B team ready to go, sign up and choose your division! There is amaximum of 10 players plus a goalie per team.
Individual Players: If you don’t have a full team, are entering the Adult C division or any Youth divisions, please register individually and the HIHL owners will place you on a team.
Unique Team Themes
To add a fun twist to the league, each team will represent a Foxon Park flavor for their jerseys. These jerseys are provided by the league and are included in your registration fee. If you submit a full Adult team you will have the choice of flavor based on a first come first served basis in order of submission. For youth divisions the teams and jerseys will be chosen by the league directors. Flavor themes to choose from are White Birch, Orange, Grape, Root Beer, Lemon-Lime and Cream!
Player Development
HIHL isn’t just about competition—it’s about improving your skills while having fun. The league emphasizes player development, providing a supportive environment where players can grow their abilities throughout the summer. Whether you're new to the sport or an experienced player, you'll find opportunities to hone your skills and become a better hockey player.
Playoffs
Everyone will make playoffs. Due to the new late entry window for Adult divisions, seeding will be based of point percentage. Single game elimination.
